As part of National Hate Crime Awareness Week #NHCAW organised by 17-24-30 No to Hate Crime Campaign, the Lambeth LGBT+ Network has organised an LGBT Engagement Day at the Two Brewers in Clapham.

The event aims to bring together members of the local LGBT Community to discuss hate crime and help found a new borough LGBT Forum. Beforehand there will be a gathering on Clapham Common.

10 years on Remembering Jody Dobrowski

At 12 noon on Saturday 17th October there is a gathering by the memorial bench on Clapham Common to remember Jody Dobrowski. 10 years ago Jody was taking a short cut home across the Common when he was homophobically attacked, he died the following day from the injuries he sustained. Members of the Local LGBT community along with local residents and representatives from Lambeth Council and Lambeth Police will plant daffodils next to Jody’s bench. All welcome.
